26.01.2010 Orchard Toys launches New Products
Renowned for their award-winning, affordable games and puzzles with distinctive, colourful packaging and lots of parent and child appeal, the Norfolk based company is confidant that this January’s new crop will help to keep the company on its upward trend.
Comments Simon Newbery, Managing Director at Orchard Toys, “Last year was our best year of trading since the company was formed 38 years ago and, despite the present economic climate, we are confident that Orchard Toys will continue to go from strength to strength.
“We believe that the new, and updated games and puzzles that we are launching this January will prove to be very popular and a welcome addition to our current range.
“All of our products are designed and manufactured in the UK from 100% recycled board, which I think are excellent points in their favour. That, coupled with their bright, colourful characters and durability, help ensure that Orchard Toys remain firm family favourites.”
New and updated games and puzzles being launched at this year’s Toy Fair are: If you see a Crocodile, which is based on the children’s song, ‘Row, Row, Row your Boat’. Lots of screams with this game which is designed to help children of 3 years plus develop their colour matching and speaking and listening skills (not to mention screaming !) and it links with early learning goals in creative development; Once upon a Time Dominoes is designed for 3 to 6 year olds who will love playing this beautifully illustrated little game; Round and Round, is based on the children’s song ‘the wheels on the bus’ and is aimed at 3 to 6 year olds. It helps develop colour matching and counting skills, links with early learning goals in creative development and encourages strategic thinking. Nursery Rhyme Four in a Box, is a charming new jigsaw puzzle, which includes four little puzzles with 4, 6, 8 and 12 pieces; Enchanted Forest is a larger puzzle for 4-8 year olds which has hidden objects lurking behind the puzzle that can only be seen by using the magic viewer ! Last but not least are the revamped Farmyard Dominoes and Pop to the Shops which complete the new range.
