26.05.2011 Orchard Toys continues to support EACH
Orchard Toys is very happy to announce their continued support of EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices)* throughout this financial year.
When this new website was launched in April last year, online customers were given the opportunity to donate when placing their orders. This brought the online customers into line with mail order customers who had been able to donate to EACH, when placing their orders, for several months.
Says Managing Director, Simon Newbery, “A big thanks to all of customers who have responded so generously, with a total of £1,220.28 raised by 31st March this year.”
On top of this, the company had pledged to EACH a proportion of the sales of their game Norfolk’s Fine Food (produced in collaboration with Kinsale Junior School, Norwich) so a further £500 will be donated to help the charity with its work helping the families of children with terminal illnesses.
Eager to follow their employers’ good example, five Orchard Toys’ employees, their partners and children, raised £150 by taking part in the EACH Ride for Life, on Sunday 15th in Thetford Forest.
On Monday, 23rd May, Hugh Beevor (Chairman) and Simon Newbery presented the cheques to Mark Loades, Norfolk Partnerships Manager at EACH.
