30.07.2012 Where's Yogi?
Earlier this year, Toymaster announced that they would celebrate Yogi Parmar’s 50th Birthday (their Operations Manager) on one of the evenings at the Toymaster Show in May, the evening usually set aside for a fancy dress event. This sparked off an idea between Bhav Patel of Toy Galaxy and our Sales Director, Simon Prest.
The Toymaster crew ran with their idea and when Yogi was introduced to everyone attending his birthday dinner, he was confronted with the sight of 500 Yogis looking back at him (as a photo of his face had been made, into face masks). His reaction was one of amazement and then, amusement!
The following evening approximately 80 people in their Yogi facemasks gathered together, surrounding Yogi, for a photo shoot in front of the Majestic Hotel, where the Toymaster event was being held.
To commemorate the event, Simon Prest recently presented Yogi with a Where’s Yogi? wooden jigsaw made from the group photo at the Toymaster headquarters.
Simon said, “Rather than present Yogi with the usual framed print of the group shot, we thought that it would be an original idea to have the photo made into a jigsaw puzzle. This was brilliantly done thanks to Wentworth Jigsaws.”
