The box is bright and has the trademark Orchard Toys colours and logo along with excellent pictures of the game in action.

My son recognised the box straight away and nagged all the way through cleaning his room to have a "look at what it is" and the rest of the time all I heard was, "Mammy, can we play now? I want to play Orchard Toys" while peeking inside the wrapper hoping I would say "yes".

When the time came for us to play he had great fun popping the individual cards out of their sheets and insisted he was a good boy for helping. (Teaching the importance of helping people? Is there anything Orchard Toys doesn't do?)

The game itself is excellent. The cards are brightly coloured and hard-wearing.

The aim of the game is simple. Roll the dice (starting with the youngest player) and pick a card with the same colour spot as the dice to 'grow' your flower. Picking a flower card means you can't grow your flower anymore and game play ends once everyone have a flower on top of their stalk. The player with the most leaves wins.

My son thoroughly enjoyed growing his flower and even lost graciously (for the first time EVER).

Counting the leaves and letting my son decide who had the most leaves and therefore won, brought valuable lessons to the game and enabled my son to determine which number was higher proving again that learning most definitely is FUN!

The Flowerpot Game is a fantastically fun and educational game and receives big thumbs up from my son (and me!)

La collection Orchard est vraiment extra. Après avoir joué avec "Pop to the Shops" pour la grande de 6 ans, nous voile avec "Flowers Pot". Mes filles de 3 et 6 ans adorent vraiment les 2 jeux, elles ne veulent plus arrêter de jouer !!! Encore, encore, encore... Se sont des jeux très educatifs, colorés... vraiment excellent, très facile a adapter en français !

Orchard Toys are really special. After having played with Pop to the Shops for my 6 year old, the oldest, we continued with Flower Pot Game. My daughters, of 3 and 6, really adored these two games, and they didn't want to stop playing! More, more, more... They are games that are very educational, colourful.... really excellent, and easy to adapt into French!
