A toy review by Al, Lily-Mai and Alex for izziwizzikids Play Fest

My son is a very keen footballer and anything to do with football draws him close. This game is a bit like an advanced and much more interesting snakes and ladder game. Basically you are trying to score a goal and the ball goes back and forwards as you try to to get there to take a shot. It's a nice and easy game, kids love spinning the spinner to see what happens next and its all about luck so younger players are in with a chance of winning too (very important in this house!)

This is a nicely thought-out and fun little board game that will instantly appeal to any little footballers out there. The game pieces are of excellent quality and durability, and the attention to detail in the lovely colourful illustrations is simply fantastic, for example the poses of the players and the goalie, the 'Orchard Toys' crowd barrier, and the crowd themselves with scarfs and hats to match the colour of the player's team!

This is a really simple but very effectively designed game for young children which builds up plenty of excitement as the player's football passes backwards and forwards around the board (similar to Snakes and Ladders) in the race to score the winning goal! Furthermore, the game offers plenty of developmental benefits, including observation, counting skills, and plenty of social interaction and communication.
