5 out of 5 stars Daughter LOVES this game!

By Carly Yeganeh

When we first had this game my daughter was a bit young to play it properly, she was just 16 months...but she would sit there for ages just matching up the cards to the board pictures. It was fantastic for her learning and brushing up on all the different animal names too.

Now she is 19 months and she understands how to play it properly but she still loves to find the cards and match them up still.

I can not recommend this game enough, she has played with it almost daily now for months!

5 out of 5 stars A winner!

By Ali

I was looking for something for my daughter for Christmas as a stocking filler that wasn't all about flashing lights and music playing. Picked this up in a local shop and was a little unsure but thought I would give it a go! My daughter's 2.5 and LOVES this!!! She isn't so hot at taking it in turns but everything else is great!

5 out of 5 stars Great game for children with special needs!

By Wendy Hirst

I used to love playing board games but I have to admit that it is more difficult to play them nowadays as I have a daughter that has Special Needs and thinks nothing of throwing the pieces everywhere.

The first thing that struck me about Old MacDonald Lotto was the box. Not only is it very colourful, but the pictures give a clear indication of what the game is about.

The boards are very well constructed and a perfect size for little hands to pick them up, which is great for fine motor skills which my children have problems with.

Each player is given a board and the object of the game is to match all the pictures and the farmer from tiles which are placed face down on the table or floor. As you turn the tile over you could encourage the child to make the relevant sound to the picture. This not only promotes recognition skills, but also encourages the child to learn the names and sounds of the animals, etc.

My children have always had a problem with turn taking, in fact so much so that they don't really understand what taking turns is all about. With this game I have found that it helped promote this. My 5-year-old Autistic son loved this game and he sat quietly waiting for his turn eagerly waiting to see if the tiles matched. The children had so much fun playing this and have asked when they can play it again.
