It takes little or no setting up but provides endless fun
The idea behind Scaredy Cat by Orchard Toys is simple. You take it in turns to collect bird cards. If you get a cat card you have to put all your cards back. As the game goes on you slowly build a Scarecrow. Whoever has the most birds when the scarecrow is complete wins. Simple.
Both children have enjoyed playing this game. We keep it under the coffee table to whip out at a moments notice, should we need it. It takes little or no setting up but provides endless fun.
Scaredy Cat has definitely encouraged the 4 year old with his counting ... and his competitive streak.
