Where Do I Live Game

Where Do I Live Game

A unique animals of the world lotto.

Where Do I Live? is a fun animals of the world lotto, where players develop their knowledge and understanding of the world as they match different animals to their habitats. Children will enjoy talking about the unusual animals from around the world, including turtles under the sea, camels in the desert, monkeys in the jungle and polar bears in the arctic. To finish the game, children must find their matching explorer card!

Double-sided boards feature fun and interesting animal and habitat facts, such as "Polar bears actually have black skin. It is their furry coats that make them look white, as the hollow hairs reflect light!" These are perfect for educational discussion once the game is complete.

Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts. Choking hazard.

Great Lotto Game

This is a great game that not only is fun to play but teaches children about the different animals that live in different parts of the world. This has become a firm favourite in our home.

Great fun for kids and a fab way to learn!

Reviewed by Elaine Betteridge on 07 June 2016

My 3 year old loves playing with this game and he'll spend ages matching the animals to the correct card. I think the addition of the habitat facts on the back of the card is really useful and my son is very interested in finding out about each animal and where it lives. Another winner from Orchard Toys!

Enjoyable Memory Game

Reviewed by astrongcoffee on 01 April 2016

My children enjoy this memory game and enjoy the fun facts and illustrations of the animals and their habitats. Simple to play. I have given it 3 stars as I think it could lead to misconceptions as animals like the polar bear and penguin are pictured together on the polar regions board.

Well-made and beautifully presented

Where Do I Live is a card game designed to encourage observation, develop social skills and promote understanding of the world. Most importantly of all however, itÕs great fun, so the lessons it teaches come easily. Each of the game boards is filled with fun facts on the reverse (some of which I bet that youÕll not know Ð such as the fact that polar bears have black skin) so once youÕve played your ÔlotteryÕ game and matched your animals with your board, you can go on to learn a little bit more. Good stuff.

Great fun and so much to learn!

Reviewed by Mummy of Two + 1 on 08 March 2016

Where do I live? is a game similar to the popular Shopping List game in that each player has a card which they have to find the matching animals for. However, there is a lot of learning with this game. My 3 year old daughter is learning about different animals and where they live and my 7 year old son is loving reading the facts on the back of the habitat boards!

The game is incredibly easy to understand and play. My 3 year old knew immediately what to do and wasted no time in assigning cards to us all and laying out the animal cards face down on the table. My daughter really enjoyed playing this game.

As with all of the Orchard Toys games, the quality of the pieces is excellent and it will stand up to a lot of play. I can see this game quickly becoming a favourite game to play as a family.

A fun & educational matching game!

My three year old loves matching games and if she can learn about the animals around the world, while playing, well, that can only be considered a good thing. My daughter LOVES this game and it's out every day.

A fun way to teach children about animal habitats

Reviewed by Over40andaMumtoOne on 29 February 2016

My 6 year old have been playing this game for a few weeks now. It's a fun way to teach him about different animal habitats and which animals are suited to which environment. It helps develop observation skills and the double sided boards also provide information on the animals and where they live. It's a fun addition to our games shelf!

Around the world animal game

Reviewed by Parents in Touch on 23 February 2016

This brightly coloured game with its friendly animals will help children learn where various animals come from, while they enjoy playing the lotto-type game. To play the game, they must match each animal to its habitat and to win, they must find the explorer too. The game is for 2-4 players, and it suitable for ages 3-6 - I like the fact that Orchard Toys always clearly display this information.

There are four double-sided boards - desert, undersea, polar and jungle. Each has 6 creatures to be collected, plus that all-important explorer. Flip the board over and you will find the animals named, plus facts about each habitat - it's a fun way for children to learn.

The game is simple to play - place the animal cards face down and then turn them over to play; we added to the fun by making animal noises (some of them had to be made up as we didn't know what they would all sound like, but that increased the fun!). Orchard Toys can always be depended on to produce games that are fun to play, have an educational element and are excellently produced - this one is another winner and has already been played many times

Fascinating

Reviewed by ClearlyBex on 12 February 2016

My children (aged 3+6) have been playing this game most evenings after school for the past week, they really enjoy using their observation and social skills to find their animals on their habitat boards and talking about where each animal lives and whats so special about that particular animal. This game really has boosted their knowledge of the wider world around them, even though they may not see particular aspects of the world physically they are now aware they exist.

The added aspect of the fun facts on the reverse of the habitat boards are an fantastic addition to this game, my eldest who is in year 2 has particularly enjoyed reading these boards and sharing facts with his friends at school. Another great game, thank you Orchard Toys!
