Great development game

A game the whole family can play but really helps with matching and letter recognition. Great that it develops with your child.

Brilliant game, my all time top literacy pick for this age group!

My 6yo was given this game on her third birthday, and we have been playing with it regularly ever since. You can play with two to five players, and there are four different versions of the game. For the younger children it's simple animal matching, and when they're older and start learning their alphabet they can start matching letters. This is a brilliant game, and probably the one I would most recommend to anyone buying a present for a child in this age range.

Lots of ways to play

This is such a versatile game. There are 4 ways to play this bingo style game. We even played it as a memory game. You can match by animals or letters. It's great for teaching young children the letters in the alphabet and some of the phonetic sounds like SH and WH.

Great educational game!

I am really pleased with this game. I am planning on home educating my daughter and this game is a great educational tool. We played the lotto, discussed the pictures and phonemes...she identified the letters that she already knew and guessed at others. We then played a game whereby we lined up a number of picture cards and then told a story incorporating each picture in the order that we had picked them. We had great fun. We might even play a memory game with the pictures and letters too...

Brilliant learning tool

Alphabet Lotto is one of Orchard Toys' excellent bingo style games, but this is one has a differentiated twist to it with four different ways to play. We don't play lotto yet in a conventional way yet, he's just that bit too young to understand about taking turns although we will soon be working on it with him and this is an excellent way to promote it. Instead, he helps mummy and daddy to find the (face-up) cards on their boards. This is an excellent way to help develop his matching skills (pre-maths skills) and the recognition of images is so important (pre-reading skills). He loves it and finds it great fun!

I would thoroughly recommend Alphabet Lotto for any child who is approaching nursery or reception to help develop their understanding of letters and sounds. I would also thoroughly recommend this for anyone who just wants to have fun with their child!

Versatile and fun!

We bought this for our son's fourth birthday, seeing as how much he adores the Shopping List game. He loves it and it's great that there are a variety of ways to play it, according to mood/age/ability/attention span! The pieces are hard wearing and I'm sure we will have equal hours of fun with this one!

Alphabet Lotto

I was lucky enough to win this game for my grandchildren.They are 4 (boy) and 7 (girl) and step grandson (9). All 3 joined in playing with me, and although, below his age range, even the eldest engaged well. Easy to play, easy box to store when not in use, and with change for £10, a product which I'd recommend for fun and learning alike.

My daughter (nearly 3) loves playing with this. I'm very happy that it's supporting her learning in a fun way. The game is excellent quality and great value for money. Can't fault it!
