This bestselling game encourages healthier eating for children in a fun way. Use the healthy food cards to create a nutritious meal in this simple lotto game. However, if you pick up an item of junk food (e.g. icecream, pizza or burger) you must post this into the gorilla's mouth to make him burp! The winner is the first person to fill all their meal tiles.

To help children recognise the difference between healthier and junk foods, cards are colour coded - blue for healthier foods and yellow for junk foods. The game also includes a real burping noise whenever a card is posted into the gorilla's mouth, which children find hilarious! Players must say 'excuse me' after the gorilla has burped, which encourages good manners for later life.

Contents:

4 playing boards
24 healthy food cards
8 junk food cards
1 gorilla posting box (requires 3xAAA 1.5V batteries, included)
1 instruction leaflet

Great family game

Reviewed by Laura Campbell on 21 May 2014

We really enjoyed playing Greedy Gorilla. The concept of the game is easy and I think probably children younger than 4 would be able to play this game. My kids loved that the Gorilla burped when you fed him the unhealthy cards. A game that can make us a laugh is a fantastic game in our eyes.

A favourite!

Reviewed by Lesley Adams on 21 May 2014

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and I just want to say how much I LOVE this toy. I LOVE toys that are multi-purpose! I utilize it in a myriad of ways! Most simply, I use it as a reinforcer (what child doesn't love evoking a "burp"?). It can also be used as a language activity, by naming or identifying the food items, or by categorising the food items, and recently I used it as a counting activity, where a price was affixed to each item, and the child needed to count out the number of coins necessary for the gorilla to purchase it!

Helps children made the right choices

Reviewed by Susan Mann on 21 May 2014

We were given this game as a birthday present and love it. Both my children aged 5 and 2 are able to play it easily on their own or with the adults joining in. It is a lot of fun selecting the food and then when a junk food is selected the child gets to put it in the gorilla who burps.

One of the best things about this game is that they are realising what are good choices of food and what are bad choices of food.
I would highly recommend this game, easy to play, sturdy well made boards & game pieces, helps children understand the difference between healthy and junk food and it a lot of fun.

Brilliant Burps

Reviewed by John on 21 May 2014

Very good 'bingo' style game. Each player can have one of four different menu boards. Take it in turns to choose a tile, if it's yours, put on one of your 6 spaces. If it's someone else's, put it back (they have to watch where it goes!). If it's a food with a yellow background (an unhealthy one) then you get to post it into the greedy gorilla and hear the excellent 'burp' sound.

Good fun - the only wee problem with it is that there is no bottom to the gorilla box, so if the child picks it up or knocks it over, then all the tiles are left behind. On the other hand, it makes it easy to rescue any tiles that SHOULDN'T have been posted because someone got a bit too eager to hear the burp!

Fabulous

Reviewed by Emily on 21 May 2014

My 3 year old loves this, the burping noises wins him over. This was the first game he started playing, all thanks to burps. My 5 year old loves it too. They fight over putting it in his mouth. I catch them looking for the yellow shadow on the floor! Great fun.
